Some things that fly there be-

Birds – Hours – the Bumblebee

Of these no Elegy

Some things that stay there be-

Grief – Hills – Eternity –

Nor  this behooveth me.

There are that resting, rise

Can I expound the skies?

How still the Riddle lies

Emily Dickinson #89

First Recliner

I finally came to the realization that this piece of furniture was too big for my space, and after studying Japanese architecture, I decided to go low. Making all my furniture low, and that I would now be a ground dweller when out in the “Alley Artist” Studio.

The most amazing thing happened after I decided to give up my chair and sit on the floor. It’s hard to explain, but I felt a sense of freedom, I could now move around and take advantage of every corner, and even lay down. And low and behold every time I looked up, I now had an amazing view of the sky from my little red shed. I’m sure there is a lesson here to be found, in staying grounded, hah, never, my mind will always be in the clouds, even though my bum is on the ground.
