It looks like my last email may have landed in the Promotions tab for some people — it actually did for me, too. Gmail does this automatically sometimes, even when nothing is wrong.

If you’d like to keep receiving these notes in your main inbox, there are two simple things that really help:

• You can drag one of my emails from Promotions into Primary
• Or even better, just hit reply and say hello — you can also add me as a contact

That small interaction tells Gmail these emails are personal, not promotional.

No pressure at all — I just didn’t want you to miss future notes, poems, or artwork if you were expecting them.
